Temp Job

 I am temping again, life has brought me here… and I have to say the mean girls are not disappointing. The woman they had training me (lets call her pendanga) was yelling my head off and no one did anything. At one point she did it in front of the boss and I popped my head in the cubicle where he was sitting and said “hi neighbor”. The yelling stopped but then the woman proceeded to have monologues about how ice is taking latinos that voted for him. She was saying it in a vicious and vitriolic manner and it was so weird that the people talking to her stopped talking. She knows I am latina and I don’t think she is latina herself. I told the boss and she has stopped saying hate speech right next to me. This is after a week where Pendanga herself was pulled to the office and asked to NOT talk about ICE in the office. Pendanga prefaced her comments by saying “ I know we are not allowed to talk about politics but…”  The bar is low. One of the women that work there, lets call her Barbie: She asked me to my face if I am a woman. Actually she said “ wait, are you a girl?” When she called me girl. Way to go. 

In every job I meet a woman with a severe personality disorder that everyone just tolerates and lives with, even sometimes the woman is rewarded with not having to do anything. I am tired of this. Clearly I need to work from home.
